QR_Code_Ponte_VedraIf you’re a techie, you’re probably already scanning QR codes on your iPhone or Andriod. But if you’re like most people, you have no idea what language we’re speaking!  Well, you’re about to be in-the-know.  A QR (stands for Quick Response) code is a bar code that can be read by smart phones to deliver digital files like photos, video, music and text to your phone.  You must download a QR reader on your phone and then it’s ready to “scan” QR codes and get rich-format info on the go.  As early adopters of new technology, Davidson Realty is adding QR codes to our home sales sheets so you can view a video tour, for example, right from your phone.  We’ve included a code here to try out.  It features photos, price and information about a home on the market in Ponte Vedra. First, remember to download a QR reader for your smart phone (there are several free apps to choose from), then scan this code.  Now, pat yourself on the back for being a cool tech geek and watch for more QRs from Davidson.

The more you see of them the more of them you’ll see. It may sound circular but it’s how our brains work it is the reticular activating system. One of it’s processes is to act as a background filter so we don’t go crazy with the countless amount of information we take in through our five senses.

In a recent report on smartphone usage it looks as though America’s will be over the 50% in 2011. Smartphone users want information faster especially when it comes to typing long web addresses onto tiny keypads. This is one of the first line benefits qucik response codes offer.

Next these cool looking codes are really action codes, because with a properly equipped phone, once scanned the scanner application can read a website address and automatically open your browser and take you to the site.

The key or one key for engagement is to drive the visitor to a properly designed mobile optimized site….not your home page…..(well that is unless your home page is: a) a mobile site, or, b) you have a sniffer script on your site that forwards the mobile visitor to a properly built site)

I would love to see statistics on the life-cycle of a real estate mobile purchaser from qr code scan to closing table.

Scanning one of your codes brought me to a great looking and working mobile site….bravo.
