Northeast Florida Real Estate Trends for November Show All Around Continued Improvement

We certainly can’t control the real estate market but we can control how we respond to the changes in trends. Fortunately, the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors market stats for November show continued improvement in almost all measured areas. The inventory continues to decrease. The number of properties available in the Multiple Listing Service in active status at the end of the month dropped 31% from November 2010 to November 2011. There were 15,498 properties available last year and 10,722 available this year. The number of available properties has dropped every month this year.

The months supply of inventory at 7.4 months is 35 percent less than November 2010 when we had 11.4 months of inventory. The price range with the largest percentage decrease is the $500,000-$999,999 with a 45% decrease. The months supply for this price range went from 28 months to 15 months. Read more

Christine SkaggsOur Davidson Realty family continues to grow and we say, the more the merrier!  We’re very happy to welcome two new real estate professionals to our premier team of Realtors: Christine Skaggs and Andrea Gallagher.

It’s an interesting coincidence that both Christine and Andrea hail from the Boston area.  Or is it?  Maybe a childhood of Massachusetts winters makes you dream of a warmer, sunnier place like Jacksonville and St. Augustine where you can hit the World Golf Village golf courses, take a bike ride and enjoy other outdoor activities year-round. 

In addition to her customer-service oriented work experience, Christine Skaggs’ life experience has also shaped her interpersonal communication and multitasking skills. Skaggs is a supportive military spouse and mom to two kids.  Her husband’s military career included stints in Honolulu, Hawaii and San Antonio, TX.  She chose St. Augustine as the home base to raise her family almost two years ago for its relaxed, safe environment and excellent St. Johns County school system.  In her new role as a Realtor, Skaggs takes pride in bringing the same level of commitment, resourcefulness and people skills that have defined her success as a military wife and mother in helping her clients sell their homes or find the perfect place to call home. The St. Augustine Community Chorus Presents Sing We Now of Christmas – December 10 & 11 at Cathedral Basilica

christchorusDavidson Property Management‘s own John Evans will be one of the many lovely voices singing seasonal melodies as The St. Augustine Community Chorus presents Sing We Now of Christmas at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine.  Performances are Saturday, December 10 at 8:00 pm and Sunday, December 11 at 2:00 pm.  The St. Augustine Community Chorus will be joined by The St. Augustine Children’s Chorus with orchestral accompaniment by The Concert Artists of Jacksonville. 

Sing We Now of Christmas will include portions of Handel’s Messiah and other seasonal music presented in the resplendent Cathedral Basilica in downtown St. Augustine,  built in 1797 and the seat of America’s First Parrish.  Says John Evans, “From the acoustics to the gothic architecture, the Cathedral Basilica provides the perfect backdrop for the Christmas music program.” The St. Augustine Community Chorus is a mixed chorus comprised of local and regional singers.  Read more
