Davidson Realty Agent Spotlight: Jennifer Todd

jennifer famThis month our Davidson Realty spotlight shines on Realtor® Jennifer Todd.  Jennifer is a competitive sales pro with a stellar track record for performance.  Most recently, Jennifer was our Top Producer for July. Jennifer has been part of the Davidson team since 2008 but her relationship with World Golf Village goes back even further.  She opened the model home for Arthur Rutenberg in the King and Bear in 2002 and has been working in our St. Augustine golf community ever since.

When you’re not selling houses, what are you up to?
I’m probably playing bridge.  Like real estate sales, it also brings out my competitive side. I play to win!  I also enjoy cooking, traveling and reading.  Currently I’m reading Mrs. Kennedy and Me and recently finished Spoken from the Heart by Laura Bush.  I’m a fan of First Ladies.

Tell us about your time living abroad.
We moved to Guam in 1991 because my husband was affiliated with an Australian firm that was doing the addition to the Hilton Hotel.  Upon completion of that project, we were relocated to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia so that he could manage their Southeast Asia group.  While In Guam and Malaysia, I worked with American families as a relocation specialist.  I helped them locate housing, and familiarized them with medical care, schools, shopping and adjusting to living as an Expat. I enjoyed being active in the community while abroad.  While I was in Guam, I was active in the PTA and served as PTA President and in Malaysia I was active in the American Association and served on the Board as Membership Chairperson.  I lived briefly in Manila Philippines and was involved in the American Association there as well.

How do you spend a typical day?
Well first of all, I’m not a morning person.  I enjoy a leisurely morning with coffee while I answer emails.  My afternoons are always busy, either with clients or at the office.  Interacting with fellow Realtors and the office staff keeps me motivated and energized.  Evenings are spent with family or friends for dinner (I love Aqua Grille in Ponte Vedra!) and sometimes a good book.

Share a side of Jennifer that only your friends and family know.
I enjoy all sports but I’m a HUGE football fan, especially SEC football.  My love for the University of Tennessee Volunteers is deep.  Also, I have the best Grand Dog (Nala) and Grand Kitty (Tornado)!

How did you get into real estate?
I have been involved with the home building industry since 1973.  I worked for a cabinet and appliance company in Memphis, TN in the Builder Division.  Upon moving back to the U.S., it just seemed like the right career for me.

What makes you a successful Realtor®?
I am dedicated to GOOD service.  I feel it is very important to help home buyers and sellers make an educated decision.  I do extensive research for statistical information for either a buyer or seller.
