Northeast Florida Real Estate Trends in September – Strong Pending Sales and Declining Inventory Available!

The Northeast Florida Association of Realtors market trends for September continues to show strong pending sales and declining inventory available. The 1,870 pending sales for September are 40% higher than September 2011 when there were 1,337 pending sales. Year to date pending sales are 16% higher than the same period last year.  Pending sales have increased the most in the $200,000-$299,999 price range at 20.9% followed closely by the $300,000 to $499,999 price range with a 20.4% increase. Mirtha Barzaga, our Davidson Realty Agent Spotlight this month is no stranger to the spotlight.  Mirtha is frequently recognized for her strong sales track record.  In fact, Mirtha is our Top Producer for September 2012 and Top Lister for the Third Quarter 2012.  She has developed a specialty in new home construction and was recently instrumental in negotiating a multi-lot purchase in the King & Bear for a national homebuilder. Bid on Masters Golf Tournament Tickets & Other Great Auction Items

You have probably heard about our new Davidson Cares foundation, where we offer support for our outstanding St. Johns County public schools, including Mill Creek Elementary, Wards Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary and Pacetti Bay Middle School. The program launched this month and we are currently collecting grant submissions from each of the four local schools for their chance to win $500 to $1,000 for a great idea benefiting a classroom, a grade level, or even the entire school. In addition to the grants, Davidson Cares will host local fundraisers to raise even more money to be split amongst the schools. We are extremely excited about our first fundraiser that will take place at Mile Marker Brewery on Friday, November 9th! Read more

Our ranks of real estate pros continues to grow. This time with former Marine and all-around great guy Dave Haviland. In addition to his military background, Dave brings extensive business experience to his new role in real estate. Says Davidson Realty President Sherry Davidson, “Having grown up in a military family and then serving in the United States Marine Corps himself, Dave is a hard worker who truly understands dedication and service.”

Dave Haviland is originally from Beaufort, South Carolina. He and his wife settled in northeast Florida in 1998 to raise their daughter here. Dave spent much of his professional life in the Automotive Industry in Logistics, Manufacturing, Fleet Management and Retail.  He brings to Davidson Realty a confidence in relating to people and a wealth of knowledge about the local area, and is committed to helping families find the right place to call home. In his free time, Dave is an outdoorsman who enjoys skeet shooting.
