Davidson Cares Gives $4,800 in Grants and That’s Only the Beginning!

We are so excited to announce that all the Davidson Cares grants have been given out for the awesome video submissions from Mill Creek Elementary, Wards Creek Elementary, Palencia Elementary and Pacetti Bay Middle School! Each winning video from the four schools received $1,000 and all other videos received $100 towards their needs. The Davidson Cares Board Members and team had so much fun surprising the teachers and students on their news shows and in their classrooms.

So, what’s next for Davidson Cares?

Right now we are working hard to raise even more money to donate to each of the four schools and we need your help! Tickets are now on sale for the Davidson Cares Travel Raffle for a chance to win $2500 towards a vacation of your choice. The $2500 can include airfare, travel expenses, accommodation, entertainment or whatever your needs may be. The winner of the Travel Raffle will be drawn at Villagio Italian Grille at the Renaissance Hotel at World Golf Village on Tuesday, March 19th at 5 pm. The bigger the crowd, the better because the Renaissance is donating 10% of proceeds from food/beverage to Davidson Cares between 4 and 6 pm!

The remainder of the money from the fundraising will be given at the Arts Around the World event at Pacetti Bay on April 23rd between 5 and 8 pm. Based on the video submission voting, Palencia Elementary will be receiving 35% of the money, Wards Creek will receive 25% and Mill Creek and Pacetti Bay will receive 20%.
