JD’s Killer Pickled Okra Recipe

This recipe is from my Cousin Dennis. It’s perfect in Bloody Mary’s or with an antipasto platter.

Boil jars and lids, boil white vinegar

Place a heaping spoonful of minced garlic in the jar.

Place dry okra in jar with hot peppers (sliced)

(If okra is not absolutely dry it will be very slimy)

Put a small spoonful of salt on top

Pour boiling vinegar over okra to about ½ inch from top of jar

Lightly screw on lids, jar will seal itself.

If it does not seal, refrigerate right away.  Refrigerate any jar after opening.  Takes about two to three days to cure in jar.
