Davidson Cares Pledges Support to SAYS & Launches 2nd Annual Cooler Raffle

We are thrilled to launch Davidson Cares‘ 2015-2016 fundraising year by putting our support behind St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS) to help maintain day-to-day operations and fund construction of an additional residence on its St. Augustine campus.

To help drive support, Davidson Cares hosts an annual Cooler & Cocktail raffle contest. For this year’s raffle, which is sponsored by Bank of England, ticket sales kicked off on Sunday, November 1, at www.DavidsonCares.com. The large cooler features 14 types of liquors as well as a variety of snacks.

Prices are one ticket for $10, six tickets for $50 and 15 tickets for $100. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit SAYS.

“Davidson Cares’ mission aligns with that of SAYS, which is centered on giving kids the tools and support to grow,” said Davidson Realty President Sherry Davidson. “We are excited to help support such an important organization in our community.”

On its Hutson Family campus, SAYS provides a safe, therapeutic home-like environment for boys between 6 and 18 from throughout Florida who have suffered from sexual or physical abuse and/or severe neglect. In addition to meeting the boys’ everyday needs, the SAYS team is hoping to build a new residential facility.

“The older teenage residents really need a space where they can focus on transitioning to a more independent life,” said Peyton Davidson, Davidson Realty VP of Marketing and Social Media and SAYS Developmental Team member. “Using Davidson Cares donations and the generosity of our community, SAYS is hoping to accomplish this project soon.”

To drive contributions, Davidson Cares utilizes fundraising events, community donations and charity drives like its annual cooler raffle. Since 2012, Davidson Cares has been dedicated to helping local children by supporting local schools and youth-based programs. In the 2014-2015 fundraising year, Davidson Cares donated more than $30,000 to local schools for technology, equipment and teacher development.

The cooler raffle winner will be drawn on January 21, 2016, at the grand opening of Davidson Realty’s newest location in Jacksonville Beach. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win. Participants must be at least 21 years old to enter.
