All signs point to a great year for real estate in Northeast Florida in 2020!

All signs point to a great year for real estate in Northeast Florida in 2020. The Northeast Florida Association of Realtors market stats for December 2019 show sales, closings and prices are up for the month and year. The supply of homes on the market continues to drop.

 

 

Year over year numbers are:                     2018             2019           Change   

Pending sales                                            30,244           32,466          +7.3%
Closed sales                                              30,253           31,881          +5.4%
Median sales price                                $222,000       $233,990        +5.4%
Inventory of homes for sale                        9,181             7,602          -17.2%
Months supply of homes for sale                 3.6                 2.8            -22.2%

 

 

A study by ShowingTime indicates that buyer traffic has increased in all four major regions of the U.S. The South region saw the biggest uptick with 10.8% year-over-year increase in October. We are seeing increased buyer activity in Northeast Florida.

Long-time educator Reba Barkley joins Davidson Realty’s World Golf Village team

Reba originates from Atlanta where she attended Spelman College. As an educator she has served as a special needs teacher, elementary school principal and assistant professor. Due to her husband Bill’s corporate relocations, Reba and her family moved frequently through the years. She credits this with helping her to become skilled at buying and selling as well as creating smooth family transitions.

 

Today, Reba looks forward to helping other families navigate the real estate process.

Sarah Poehler brings artful eye to Davidson Realty’s agent team

We are happy to welcome Sarah Poehler to our growing team of real estate agents! Sarah has an art background with experience in property management.

Sarah originates from Austin, Texas, and holds a degree in studio art. She credits her father, an architect, with inspiring her life-long appreciation for architectural styles and design. She owned an art business in Texas and has traveled the world studying sculptural design. Since relocating to Jacksonville, Sarah has gained nearly five years of experience in property management.

 

A resident of Jacksonville’s San Marco neighborhood, Sarah enjoys spending time around the Riverside community and the beaches. She can also be seen at the Jacksonville Zoo, volunteering with local animal rescues, and getting involved in community events.

 

Sarah works out of our Jacksonville Beach office.

The December Top Producer and December and 4th quarter Top Sales and Top Lister is Mirtha Barzaga. Mirtha finished the year strong with $4.4 Million is sales for the 4th quarter. Congratulations to Mirtha also for the toys and food she collected for the Emergency Services and Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County at her two events.

 

 

The Top Producer for the 4th quarter is Suzy Evans. Suzy finished the quarter with $3.6 Million in closings. Suzy provides great value to her customers with her in-depth knowledge of the communities in the first coast and her over 12 year background in the mortgage industry.
