iStock_000002644055XSmallWhether you were crying, cheering or doing a little of both when kids went back to school a couple of weeks ago, now’s your chance to cash in.  We want to see your Back to School shots. Was it Billy’s first day of Kindergarten at Mill Creek Elementary or Wards Creek Elementary? Jenna’s first day at Pacetti Bay Middle School, or Laura’s first day of 12th grade at Nease High School? Did your student have a scowl or a smile?  Was it an outfit or hairdo they will laugh about it 5 years? And exactly how loaded down was their backpack? Send in those keepsake Back to School photos and let us know which school they were off to.  Send in your photos to Peyton Davidson at pdavidson@davidsonrealtyinc.com by September 15th.  (We will not post names to protect privacy.) Voting will be from Sept. 16-22 – so tell your friends, family and neighbors to vote online for your little one and you could win a $100 Target Gift Card.  Which will come in handy when their lunch box, sweatshirt, backpack, one shoe, calculator and other assorted items disappear throughout the school year.

Renowned Local Developers Paul & Jerome Fletcher of Fletcher Management Company will be our Guest Speakers at the Davidson Speaker Series on September 30

Heard about the $1 deal that made Ponte Vedra home to the TPC?  It’s a fascinating story, and one you can hear firsthand from the brokers of the famous deal themselves: Paul and Jerome Fletcher. The Fletchers will be our guest speakers on Thursday, September 30th as part of the Davidson Speaker Series.

Brothers Paul and Jerome Fletcher of Fletcher Management Company have been at the epicenter of local development, especially Ponte Vedra, for more than 30 years. In 1979, their $1 deal landed Ponte Vedra home to both The Tournament Players Championship and the PGA Tour headquarters.  They are equally well known for their commitment to high-quality, thoughtful development. Together they have developed major golf course communities in Jacksonville (Baymeadows), Memphis (Stonebridge), Birmingham (Inverness), St. Augustine (Palencia), and Ponte Vedra Beach (Oak Bridge and Marsh Landing).

Join us on Thursday, September 30th as The Fletchers talk about the history of St. Johns County and Ponte Vedra, and discuss their vision for the area’s future.  The casual social event starts at 7:00 pm with wine and cheese and the seminar begins at 7:30.

The Davidson Speaker Series was started by Sherry Davidson, President, Davidson Realty, Inc. so that local professionals could share their expertise with the community. The event is held at the Davidson Realty offices, located at World Golf Village just across from Publix. Everyone’s welcome!

Please note that our previously scheduled August Davidson Speaker Series has been canceled.

Dr. Joyner, Superintendent of Schools for St. Johns County to Speak at Davidson Speaker Series

July 12, 2010

 |

drjoyner0[1]Parents won’t want to miss the July 29th Davidson Speaker Series when Dr. Joseph Joyner, Superintendent of Schools for St. Johns County, will discuss important education topics and the outlook for our schools. I’ve talked with several parents of Mill Creek Elementary, Wards Creek Elementary, Pacetti Bay Middle and Nease High schools who are planning on attending on Thursday, July 29th at 7:00 p.m.

Dr. Joyner’s presentation, “What Parents Want,” addresses both the successes and challenges facing the school system, budget concerns and how the community can help support its students and local schools. The Davidson Speaker Series is a monthly event held at the Davidson Realty office at World Golf Village. It is free to the public.

During Dr. Joyner’s tenure as Superintendent, the St. Johns County’s School System has earned recognition as one of the best in the country.  Graduation rates have risen to 90.8%, the county’s schools are No. 1 on the FCAT scores and, year-after-year, the district earns an A rating.  Joyner has been the recipient of the Superintendent of the Year award and has served as President of the Florida School Superintendent Association.

The Davidson Speaker Series was started by Sherry Davidson, President, Davidson Realty, Inc. so that local professionals could share their expertise with the community. Wine and cheese are served and the event is held at the Davidson Realty offices, located at World Golf Village just across from Publix.

DSC_0137Pardon our cheering but sometimes you just have to grab the bullhorn and get the word out!  Check out these 5 things to know about our Jacksonville FL real estate company and you’ll understand our enthusiasm.  Don’t get us wrong, things could definitely be better for the real estate market, but we are proud of the following:

1. In the past 12 months, our Agent staff has doubled.
2. We continue to be the biggest lister in World Golf Village, and now we’re the top lister in Palencia too.
3. Our reach has expanded beyond St. Johns County and St. Augustine to include Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra and even Flagler County.
4. According to the Jacksonville Business Journal, Davidson Realty is now among the top 10 real estate agencies in the area.
5. Most of our Agents now hold CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert) designations, so they can shrewdly advise clients on the ins and outs of today’s market, including short sales and foreclosures.
