Matthews Design Group has been a sponsor of our Clay Day every year. This year they participated in the Double Down Challenge with a top sponsorship for the shoot and had a team in the Women’s Match Play Championship which benefitted Investing In Kids (INK!). “Matthews Design Group is an organization that is truly intentional. The 6th Annual Davidson Cares Clay Day was held on October 21, 2021, at Jacksonville Clay Target Sports. Davidson Cares Clay Day included two-sport shooting events, beginner skeet, and sporting clay. Individuals and teams from beginner to expert levels participated.  

 

In association with the event, there was also a raffle contest. Prizes included a 65-quart YETI cooler with 13 full-size liquors and a pod for Concerts for a Cause. 

 

Money raised from the event and raffles went directly to Builders Care, St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS), and Investing in Kids (INK!) in equal sums.

Community Focused – Watson Civil Supports Davidson Cares Clay Day

Davidson Cares Clay Day has not only helped raise money for worthy organizations in Northeast Florida but has brought local, like-minded companies together to strengthen partnerships and relationships along the way. 

 

John Watson, President and CEO of Watson Civil, first met the Davidsons when construction began in World Golf Village in 1996. “If I was driving customers on the dirt roads of the development, John and his team would always help me get around the equipment and offer a wave and a smile to whoever was with me,” shares Davidson Realty President, Sherry Davidson.

Inspired to Give: MasterCraft Builder Group Supports Davidson Cares Clay Day

The Davidson Cares Clay Day has been a successful event from every standpoint. MasterCraft Builder Group is to thank for the inspiration behind Clay Day as it’s modeled after MasterCraft Builder Groups’ very own charity shoot called Clays for a Cause. 

 

“When I asked Chris Shee, Founder and CEO of MasterCraft Builder Group, about his charity shoot, he generously shared all the details we needed to begin our shoot,” shared Davidson Realty President, Sherry Davidson. “Since our first Davidson Cares Clay Day in 2016, MasterCraft has supported us and been sponsors every year.”

 

With deep roots in Northeast Florida, MasterCraft is an organization passionate about serving the community and continuously puts its neighbors first. “MasterCraft is a huge supporter of Davidson Cares because of the local factor.  We prefer to keep our giving to organizations like St. Augustine Youth Services and Investing in Kids because they help children who live in “our backyard”.  There is a great sense of community in St. Johns County and it’s events like Clay Day that help our local kids who need it most,” shares President of MasterCraft Builder Group, Brad Shee.
