Hard Work Pays Off with Great Numbers in July – Congrats to Maxine, Mirtha and The Cakes!

August 7, 2013

 |

July brought many reasons to celebrate.  We hit our residential home sales goals; 24 of our hard working Jacksonville Realtors logged sales or closings; and, as a bonus, Davidson Realty President Sherry Davidson was named one of The Jacksonville Business Journal’s Women of Influence for 2013! Team Davidson boasted total sales of $7.6 million and closings of $6.6 million in July. Congratulations to Maxine Levy, Mirtha Barzaga and Pauline and Woody Cake for making it to the top!

The Top Listing Agent for the month of July is Maxine Levy with over $850,000 in listings sold and total sales over $950,000. Maxine sold three of her own listings, including land to a builder for new construction in Green Cove Springs, a condominium in Fleming Island, and a home in Turnberry (a World Golf Village community). She also had the buyer for a condo in The Legends in World Golf Village. Congratulations to our Jamaican Beauty! Read more

Born in Cuba’s Oriente province, Candy and her family relocated to Miami when she was nine years old.  After marrying her high school sweetheart, she spent several busy years welcoming children Vanessa and Edward and undergoing family relocations.  The Gil family settled in Jacksonville in 1982.  She then dedicated six years to Christ Church preschool as the school’s first Spanish teacher and spent several years as an English/Spanish interpreter. I’d rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I’d rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are.” — Milton Berle

If you did not have to read that more than once, you are much smarter than me.

I would like to share a few insights from Dr. John Tucillo, the chief economist for Florida Realtors who spoke in Jacksonville recently.
