Christina Oleksyn Transitions from the Classroom to Davidson Realty

We are thrilled to welcome Christina Oleksyn as the newest member of our real estate team. Christina comes to Davidson with years of teaching experience and a passion for providing the best in customer service.

Christina was born in Pensacola and moved frequented as part of a military family. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University and her Master’s degree from Missouri Baptist University. Christina and her husband and son recently relocated from Tampa to Jacksonville in order to be close to family. The Oleksyns’ experience purchasing a home sparked Christina’s passion for real estate and inspired her to transition from teacher to Realtor. Read more

The event, held on May 27 at the community’s Heritage Room, was attended by about 25 residents and featured speaker Rick Pariani, Vice President of Design and Development for Davidson Development.

Your offer was accepted and now you have about 10-15 days to get your inspections done depending on how the contract was written. Getting a home inspection is one of the most important steps a buyer can take to insure they are making a good investment and getting a home that is safe for their family. Here are some tips to help you with this process.

1. Don’t be afraid to get a new construction home inspected. We want to believe that all builders do a fantastic job, but with how quickly homes are going up in areas it’s best not to assume your builder or the contractors did everything right. Just because the home passed code and was given an occupancy certificate by the city doesn’t mean there aren’t things that went unnoticed. An inspector is your last line of defense against major defects. Even though your new home will have a builder’s warranty, it’s best to know about any possible issues before the ownership changes hands. Read more
